North oakland rtc

About Us

Dedicated to developing young athletes through professional coaching and a supportive community.

Our Mission

North Oakland RTC gives wrestlers in the Holly and Clarkston area a place to train hard, compete at a high level, and grow into their best selves. Wrestling teaches what few other sports can: discipline, resilience, and the will to get back up after being taken down. Our year-round program welcomes every wrestler — from first-timers to state title contenders — coached by people who've competed at the highest levels themselves.

We're more than a practice schedule — we're a community built on hard work and respect. Every session is a chance to get better, and every wrestler gets the tools to succeed, wherever they're starting from. Our goal is to build people who carry the lessons of the mat — toughness, accountability, grit — into everything else they do.

Josh has coached at Holly High School since 2021, where he's helped develop multiple state champions and state placers. He joined NORTC in 2024 and has been building and expanding the program ever since. His combination of elite competitive experience and hands-on coaching gives NORTC wrestlers direct access to high-level technique and mentorship at every stage of their development.

Coach Andrew scott

Andrew is also a Holly High School alumnus and MHSAA All-State wrestler, who went on to compete at the NCAA Division 1 level at Northern Illinois University.

As an assistant coach at Brighton High School, Andrew helped build a state-contender level team and develop multiple individual state champions and placers. He brings that same high-level coaching experience to North Oakland RTC.
